Nineteen pupils aged between seven and 11 years old have been shot dead alongside two of their teachers by an 18-year-old gunman at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in America’s deadliest mass school shooting since Sandy Hook. Two boys - Xavier Lopez, 10 (upright, centre left) and Uziyah Garcia, nine (bottom left) – and four girls - Makenna Lee Elrod, 10 (upright, centre right), Eliahana Torres, 10 (top left), Ellie (second top left), and Amerie Jo Garza (second bottom left) – have been identified among those killed. The shooter was Salvador Ramos (right), described as a lonely child bullied for a lisp who turned increasingly violent as he got older and bought two rifles for his 18th birthday. He began the massacre around 11.30am Tuesday when he shot his grandmother during an argument over his failure to graduate. Ramos then drove to the school armed with a handgun, a rifle and wearing body armor, where he walked inside and began shooting ‘everyone who crossed his path’. Police and Border Force agents manning a post nearby rushed to the scene where a gunfight ensued, and one of the Border Force agents shot Ramos dead. A number of people were also wounded in the attack, though the exact number is unclear. Police say the death toll is expected to rise.

Heartbreaking moment frantic parents run TOWARDS unfolding Texas elementary school shooting - while others desperately try to call their children trapped inside the building

The video, posted on Snapchat and then shared across social media, shows several parents heading towards the school. The caption reads: 'Kids are running out of the classrooms' with a broken heart emoji. Notably, at least two other people are standing by recording with their phones. Fourth-grade teacher Eva Mireles was murdered along with at least 19 children and one other adult. Mireles' aunt, Lydia Martinez Delgado, released a statement. 'I'm furious that these shootings continue. these children are innocent. Rifles should not be easily available to all. This is my hometown, a small community of less than 20,000. I never imagined this would happen to especially loved ones ... All we can do is pray hard for our country, state, schools, and especially the families of all.' A parent on Twitter who claimed Mireles taught her daughter also paid tribute. 'My daughter’s beautiful teacher was the teacher who was killed in Uvalde, TX,' A woman who went by 'Audrey' wrote.

A 'close' friend of Salvador Ramos, 18, said the shooter used to be made fun of for his clothing and because his family was poor. He said Ramos began showing up to class less and less from the bullying and 'slowly dropped out.' 'He barely came to school,' the friend, who didn't want to be identified, said. The friend said the pair kept up with each other occasionally through Xbox messages, but had largely lost contact after Ramos graduated.

Salvador Ramos, 18, messaged a woman in Los Angeles on May 12, tagging her in a photo of his guns. On Tuesday morning he messaged her again alluding to the mass shooting. Hours later he shot and killed 19 children at a Texas school and two teachers. The woman reacted with horror when she learnt what he had done. 'He's a stranger I know nothing about him he decided to tag me in his gun post,' she wrote. 'I'm so sorry for the victims and their families I really don't know what to say.' She then added: 'The only reason I responded to him was because I was afraid of him I wish I stayed awake to at least try to convince him to not commit his crime. I didn't know.' When an Instagram user asked if she was his girlfriend, she replied: 'I don't know him and I don't even live in Texas.'

'Where in God's name is our backbone?': Biden tears into gun makers and vows to 'stand up to the gun lobby' in the wake of Texas elementary school shooting and mourns children dying 'as if they're in a battlefield'

The president called on elected officials to 'stand up to the gun lobby' in an impassioned speech barely two hours after arriving back in the United States following his first trip to Asia while commander-in-chief. 'I had hoped, when I became president, I would not have to do this. Again. Another massacre,' a visibly emotional Biden said. Speaking from the White House Roosevelt Room with First Lady Jill Biden clad in black by his side, the president said: 'Uvalde, Texas. An elementary school. Beautiful innocent, second, third, fourth graders. And how many scores of little children who witnessed what happen - see their friends die as if they're on a battlefield, for God's sake?'

Cheryl Lamphere, 43, told DailyMail.com that her group of friends were misled, intimidated and scammed into paying $1,640 for food that did not justify the outrageous price. Lamphere and her group of girlfriends said they had no other option but to pay the eye-watering price after ordering one plate of calamari, one order of lobster pasta, a salad, and bread at the infamous DK Oyster restaurant in Platys Gialos. The mother-of-two said the group visited the picturesque island on May 3 and their first evening was ruined after owner Dimitris Kalamaras and male staff at the restaurant cornered them when they even dared to dispute the astronomical tab. 'Every man in the restaurant got up and surrounded us, there were at least five of them, almost blocking us in. It was a very, very scary situation because we were six women being surrounded by five men... I must add, they were all dressed in black, it was sort of gangsterish,' Lamphere told DailyMail.com on the phone.

The altercation, which transpired at The Boathouse at Hendry's Beach in Santa Barbara Wednesday, reportedly started after the woman (at right in lefthand image) began berating staff at the bayside eatery after her card was allegedly declined the night before. As the argument ensued, Ian Soleimani (right), a 39-year-old African-American man who works as a DJ at the restaurant, whipped out his phone and started recording the woman's tirade - spurring her to turn her aggression on to him. The five-minute clip - which has amassed tens of thousands of views since being posted to social media by Soleimani - has seen social media users dub the as-of-now unidentified woman 'California Karen.'

The weapon is the largest calibre mortar system in service, firing huge 288-pound F864 shells to a range of six miles. Kots' report in Rubizhne showed several angles of the giant mortar, which can also fire Smel'chak laser-guided rounds, 3B11 nuclear shells, and 308 rocket-assisted cargo shells, in his report showing off the weapon to Russians back home. But less than 24 hours after his footage was aired, the mortar was blown to pieces by Ukrainian forces, who gleefully shared footage of their scalp.

REVEALED: Wife of pastor, 65, who was forced to admit to congregation that he took a 16-year-old girl's virginity was once a STRIPPER and admitted her marriage had been 'just one signature from divorce'

Debra Lowe and her husband, Pastor John Lowe II, stepped down from the New Life Christian Church in Warsaw after he was confronted on stage by Bobi Gephart, 43. Gephart came forward with a microphone to tell their church how Lowe groomed her as a teen, starting when she was 16 - the legal age of consent in the state. It has now been revealed that Debra, a co-pastor at the congregation, also led a life against her Christian values before joining the church. According to her description on the church's profile, which has since been removed, Debra left her home in upstate New York when she was just 16 to become a stripper.

Gilbert, 58, spoke candidly about suicide prevention and her move to the Catskill mountains in upstate New York during a segment for Good Morning America (left). The actress was adopted by actor and comedian Paul Gilbert (right) and his wife, actress Barbara Crane, one day after her birth. Gilbert was 11 when her father died in February 1976, but she didn't find out the true nature of his death until years later. She and her adopted brother, Jonathan Gilbert, were told their father had died from a stroke in his sleep after suffering one the year before. Gilbert hired a detective as an adult and learned he had died by suicide. Forty-six years have passed since her father's death, but she told GMA that she doesn't think 'we've come far enough' when it comes to mental health. Gilbert, who grew up in Los Angeles, also reflected on her life-changing move to the Catskill mountains (inset), saying: 'It's extraordinary to me that this is my life now.'
